Family shipyards. A new company built on them.
Ionian Yacht Management was founded by three boat enthusiasts whose families have run shipyards in Corfu since 1972. When you call, you speak to one of us directly — people who grew up around boats, not whoever happens to be free that day.
The people managing your yacht understand yachts from the inside out.
Not from a training manual. From growing up in the shipyard.
Three founders, one accountable team.
Ionian Yacht Management is newly founded, but it didn't come from nowhere. Our families have run shipyards in Corfu since 1972, and all three of us grew up around boats before we ever thought of this as a business — the technical knowledge here goes back decades, even if the company itself is brand new.

"Coming from a family with generations of hands-on experience in the marine industry, I grew up around yachts, shipyards, and the technical side of yacht ownership."
This background has given me a practical understanding of what it takes to maintain a yacht properly — not only how it should look, but how it should perform.
At IYM, my focus is on bringing together technical expertise, reliable communication, and a high standard of service to give yacht owners complete peace of mind. I believe yacht management should be simple for the owner: every detail handled, every issue addressed quickly, and every yacht maintained to the highest standard.
Your yacht. Our responsibility.
A hull doesn't lie to someone who's built one.
Our families have laid keels, faired hulls, and rebuilt engines in Corfu since 1972. That's not a detail for the website — it's the reason we can look at a bilge, a stuffing box, or a hairline crack in the gelcoat and know immediately whether it's nothing or the beginning of something expensive.
Yacht management, done properly, is shipyard work spread across a season instead of compressed into a haul-out. The same eye that used to catch a problem on the slipway catches it now on a Tuesday-afternoon inspection, months before it would have become a five-figure repair.
That's the difference between a company that manages boats and people who were raised on them.
Why owners trust us with a boat they can't watch themselves.
Most of our owners live abroad for most of the year. That means trust has to be earned through consistency — the same people, the same standards, every single visit.
The same two or three people
Whoever visits your boat this month is likely the same person who visited last month. Nobody's starting from scratch, and nobody's meeting your yacht for the first time while fixing it.
One marina, real relationships
We're based at Gouvia Marina, on Corfu waters, working with the yards, chandlers, and port authority we already know personally.
A report after every visit
Photos and notes, every time, so you know exactly what state your boat is in. Not a text saying everything's fine.
Experience over guesswork
Decades of family shipyard work in Corfu means we recognise problems most people would miss until they got expensive.
Straight about who's doing what
Every job has one person accountable to you for the result, start to finish — no disappearing once the work begins.
Built to grow carefully
We're expanding across the Ionian at the pace our standards can keep up with, not faster.
Built on relationships, not transactions
We'd rather manage your yacht for ten years than impress you once. That means telling you what a job actually needs, even when a longer answer isn't the one you wanted.
From first call to first report.
Survey call
We ask about your boat, your marina, and what "well looked after" means to you — then quote accordingly.
Handover visit
Our team meets the boat in person, logs her condition with photos, and agrees the visit schedule with you.
Scheduled care
Regular checks, seasonal work, and cleaning happen on the calendar you set — with a report after each visit.
You step aboard
Provisioned, clean, and running. If something needs your decision, you'll have heard about it long before you land.
Rooted in Corfu. Present in Paxos.
We keep coverage where we can hold our own standard — Corfu and Paxos today. If your marina isn't listed yet, ask us; we're often closer than you'd expect.

What owners will say after a season with us.
We're newly founded, so there's no track record to quote yet. Real reviews will replace this section as soon as we have owners on the water to ask — not before.
