Who we are

The data controller is Ionian Yacht Management, Corfu, Greece (registration and tax details to be published here once our business registration is complete). Contact for any privacy matter: ionianyachtmanagement@outlook.com.

What we collect and why

Enquiry form and email/WhatsApp: name, email, phone number, service requested and the details you write (including vessel details). We use this to answer you and prepare a quote. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b), (f)).

Newsletter: your email address, only if you subscribe. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can unsubscribe at any time.

Analytics (only if you accept): Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd) and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland) collect pages viewed, device and browser information, approximate location and, for Clarity, anonymised session recordings of clicks and scrolling. They set cookies such as _ga, _clck and _clsk. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a); ePrivacy rules). Nothing loads until you click Accept. Change or withdraw your choice any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer.

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Who receives your data

Service providers acting on our behalf: Netlify, Inc. (website hosting and form handling), Microsoft (email), and Google and Microsoft (analytics, only with your consent). Some of these are based in the United States; transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses. Where a job needs it, we share relevant details with the technicians or authorities involved in work on your vessel.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a contract: up to 24 months. Client records: for as long as the contract runs and the period required by Greek tax and accounting law afterwards. Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. Analytics data: according to the retention settings of Google Analytics and Clarity.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest or withdraw consent at any time, by emailing us. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier processing. You also have the right to complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr) or to your local supervisory authority.

Security

Our site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are handled by our hosting provider. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send passwords or payment card details by form or email.

We will update this policy as our business registration is completed and when our services or providers change.
