Terms of Service

1. Who we are

These terms apply to services offered by Ionian Yacht Management (“we”, “us”), Corfu, Greece. Our legal name, address and tax details are published here once our business registration is complete. Contact: ionianyachtmanagement@outlook.com.

2. This website

The information on this website is general and is not an offer. Nothing on it forms a contract. A contract exists only when we both sign or confirm a written agreement or quote for specific work (“Agreement”). If this page and an Agreement differ, the Agreement applies.

3. Our services

We coordinate and carry out yacht management, maintenance, refit, administration and related services for vessels in Corfu and Paxos, as described in each Agreement. Where we arrange third-party specialists (for example engineers, riggers or yards), we act as your coordinator unless the Agreement says otherwise, and we will tell you who they are on request.

4. Quotes, prices and payment

Quotes are valid for the period stated in them (30 days if none is stated). Prices are in euros and state whether VAT is included. Unless the Agreement says otherwise, we may ask for an advance for parts and third-party costs, and we invoice work as agreed. Parts and costs advanced on your behalf are charged at cost or as quoted. Unpaid invoices may be charged statutory late-payment interest, and we may pause work until overdue amounts are paid.

5. Changes and extra work

If a survey or the work uncovers extra work needed, we will tell you and give an estimate before proceeding, except in an emergency where delay risks safety or damage, in which case we will do the minimum necessary and inform you as soon as possible.

6. Your responsibilities

You confirm you are the owner of the vessel or authorised by the owner. You give us accurate information, access to the vessel, and keys, documents and insurance details we need. You remain responsible for your vessel's insurance, registration, certificates, taxes and compliance with law unless the Agreement says we handle a specific item.

7. Cancellation

You may cancel an Agreement in writing at any time. You pay for work done, materials ordered or non-refundable third-party costs incurred up to the cancellation, and any notice period stated in the Agreement. Consumer rights that cannot be waived under law (including any statutory right of withdrawal) are not affected by this clause.

8. Liability

We perform our services with reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control (such as weather, third-party failure, or pre-existing defects not reasonably discoverable), or for indirect loss such as lost charter income or loss of use, to the extent the law allows. Where liability is limited by the Agreement, the limit is the fees paid for the specific service concerned. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury, fraud, intent or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under Greek or EU law.

9. Insurance

Details of our insurance cover will be shown in the Agreement. You should keep your own comprehensive yacht insurance in force at all times.

10. Intellectual property

The content of this website (text, design, logo, photographs we own) belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse it for commercial purposes without our written permission.

11. Personal data

We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Complaints and disputes

Please raise any complaint with us first by email and we will respond within 14 days. These terms and any Agreement are governed by Greek law. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights, the courts of Corfu have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EU you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform or a Greek consumer dispute-resolution body.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The version published on the date of your Agreement applies to that Agreement.

Ionian Yacht Management is completing its business registration. We do not enter into paid Agreements until it is complete.
